Galactic Coordinates

This morning's prompt was 'star map' and I drew a few random constellations.

For now, how best to create a map of a few interstellar states around a handful of stars? Div graphics, as I've been doing for a few years with the chromebook.

Blobs of land again...

Strips of land and sea! I want to set up a while loop to fill in the of the world map. Each blob of land is a set of points within the sinusoidal/pointy oval world map.

This morning's prompt was 'a ship and a star to steer by'.

Back to that jagged sinusoidal world map.

Ran into trouble with that, worked on the crew builder instead, filled up a working crew, then hire on spares. That and I'd expect that any able spacer knows a little about some other job...

Let's talk about assumptions... I'm mimocking earth-like worlds with plate tectonics, mostly water. There's plenty of reason to think that we wouldn't get plate tectonics and the carbon cycle, etc. on worlds which are mostly land. Anyway, I think splatting out blobs and keeping them from overlapping might be the way to go?

This morning's prompt was 'have spacesuit, will travel'. Isaac Arthur is doing an episode this week based on the title of the Heinlein juvenile (my favorite will probably always be 'Citizen of the Galaxy', although I love 'Orphans of the Sky' so fiercely in a way only a Scots Irish cur can).

Watching the episode early on nebula I was taken by the narrative he started out with of a dogged intergalactic hunter...

My sketch is based on the cover art for the episode, but I have the ship grounded and a figure on the ramp waving at the spacesuited figure walking up to the ship, blaster rifle in hand.

What's their story? 8-P
