I was on to something here and need to come back to it. I need to start at the top and decide if that point is land or sea, then go on from there. I want to group land bits together with adjacent land bits.

I'm working on the quads to blobs. Back to work today, going to get cleaned up in a few minutes.

Q2B gives me a quad shape, which I am turning into a polygon with all the edge points in a list of border points. I need to set up a list of adjacent quad-blobs.

So, to start over...

I want an interactive 2D world mapper using rows of terrain bits from pole to pole. If I set one pixel as 100 km and 10 px as 1,000 km, then a square 10 px one a side is 1 m.km^2, and now I want to say the villain thing; One. Million. Dollars!

Now that I can find the column and row, I can pick a point randomly or by clicking inside the sinusoid. I can walk to a random adjacent tile and make it land or sea, blue or green, or use position to generate a seed for a not so random number and average them with adjacent heights and subdivide quads into triangle fans with vertices above or below sea level.
