29 and 53, a 29 year old male.
44 and 51, a 44 year old male.
48 and 85, a 48 year old male.
Are they related? 51% chance, 36 (and I double tapped, so the stopwatch started back up again but it was 36), so all three are related, sons of the same mother...she had the youngest brother at 36 and is 65.

Who are these people and who is the father?

What sort of trouble are these people in? When and where? How do they deal with their trouble and why?

The obvious answer is zpocalypse, but what else is interesting? Alien invasion! Why? Alien refugees, like district 9? Ecological invasion, as well, mild terraforming??

Rolled 2d%, 41 and 55, went with higher number but sexual dimorphism? Aliens mass between 41 and 55 kg , ~90 to 121 #. Space elves? So original...

65% and 10 is a 10 year old female; 44 under 29% is not the youngest son's daughter, 1 under 44% is the middle son's daughter.

Survivor base has a defense: 77%, food: 50%, supplies: 56%, and peeps: 31%, literally 31 people with a skill base of 31%, not good, but excellent defensive position, either good fencing, etc. and/or skill defenders and reinforcement of a house or building. It's hit or miss, 50%, whether the people are getting enough food. We can alternate between choosing to define a daily mission, or having a random event happen to the base as a whole.

I can take the same approach to developing a whole world or state. Quick and dirty stats are best of two or even three d% rolls on my stopwatch function: 59, 40 & 57 is 59, so my monster has an attack of 59 a defense of 59 and a health of 59, whether the monster is a starship or a zombie, within reasonable parameters.

Keep this simple, the second son has a daughter and wifey is missing. Their old man is dead, before the invasion. Mom and youngest brother were living with oldest brother and second and the niece noped out of occupied territory to reach safety. Five people, contractor, teacher who was also a paramedic, second brother was also a teacher, actually a professor with a computer science degree and had contacts, learned things, got moving just in time...

Youngest worked for oldest brother in his contracting business. Built things, is an electrician. Eldest does concrete, payroll and was a demolition guy for the Marines once upon a time.

A sergeant is in for up to 12 years without advancing in rank, 17 to 29, got out 19 years ago when youngest was 10 and basically came home, started a business, supported mom and little brother after dad died and Mom fell apart for six months of self-pity. Eldest was parentified with second and left home to get out.

The middle brother is mixed up in the resistance and the older brother wants to hide and survive...
