'Fierce' monster from my 14 Inktober 2017 prompt is pretty horrible…

I am working on the world peach polyhedron again, starting at the north pole with a triangle fan from left to right. The initial top tier of these triangles gets drawn as a north polar polygon. Then we push down to another strip of land and sea.

Landmass!

12 December 2021- Landmass!

Making Landmass!

An outhouse for Nelson's word 'bathroom'. I saw Nelson at the Chinese Buffer this morning and met his sister in passing, who was eating with him.

Back to land and sea triangles and polygons, as well as rivers. We start off with an initial triangle, then push out vertices (I am ignoring single triangles for now). These make triangle pairs, which would be subdivided where the new outer edge is too long, say more than half again the distance we’re going with. We made that initial triangle out of a pair of points and the vector they define, pushing the third point out to the left of this edge at the midpoint by the distance between the first two points, using the dx and dy of the vector. We then pick one of the three points to push out, reversing and averaging the two vectors pointing away from this vertex to get a third vector pointed out from the triangle. This is how we would need to do this for any two edges of an irregular polygon, which is where I’m going with this, eventually! 8-P

Finally...

7 December 2021- Candy Cane!

I made a candy cane!

I never looked up the 11 Inktober 2017 prompt (run), nor looked into Nelson’s word for the day (Christmas Songs). I don’t know what I could do with that, or with yesterday’s ‘lake’. So run, lake, Christmas song… ‘Grandma got run over by a reindeer’ while ice-fishing on a lake? 8-P (A hit and run of an ice-tent on the lake by Santa in his slaying sleigh!)

A river runs through it… Build up a polygon of blue river out of a line of random points. Each line segment is a new quad. Nothing I’m not already doing with the candy can.
