17 January 2023- Poor Vinnies Icosahedron!

The page is going to make an irritating tone...

This morning's prompt was 'goal', so I drew a soccer goal from the most common Google reference..

World23 Tuesdays are for something fun an interesting about the local culture. Actually, Tuesdays are for another settlement. How about Port Summer, only accessible for a month in the summer?

I didn't get coding tonight... I want to build cupid up piece by piece.

The animated wings are behind everything, then the body, legs, arms and head. The legs swing around as cupid flies left or right and the arms and head track a target.
Today's prompt was 'fragrant', so I drew a flower and colored it with my four color pen, but it was a disaster, so I have converted the image to gray scale... Not grayed out, but much better!

World23 Mondays are for geography, climate, flora and fauna, but I took care of that yesterday with The Great Northern Walking Thickets, but not a settlement, per se, so I need to go back to naming a settlement; Hill Feet? No, that's terrible! 8-P

How about Farwalker village?

Today's prompt was 'elephant'. Looks like she's stepping up out of the river. The shadow at the left edge of the page really bothers me but I don't know enough about image processing to get rid of it!

World23 Sunday is back to settlements, based on 'elephant'... How about mastodons in the far north? Make them not mastodons at all? The walking 'mangrove' trees of the tundra? These are ginormous piney vines which drag their roots along and re-root themselves between steps. They can move in spurts and rest for days in between. The nomadic villagers make nice warm bowers under the canopy of each hollow hill or thicket. The walking thickets graze on carrion and plant matter for nutrients and soak up the sun in the summer. The peeps of the north get most everything which they need from the walking thicket, sugary water, 'milk', wood, fruits and roots and nuts, small game, even light and warmth.

Today's prompt was 'daffodil'. I used a little red today because I had a four color pen. I guess I need to use green and blue tomorrow? 8-P

World 23 Saturdays are for rumors. A rumor for Friendly Freida's Fellowship? A rumor about the Duchess of Whimsy, that Aunt Anastasia was previously Admiral 'Arthur' Bloodstone, later Sea Lord, minister for the Navy?

Wings for 'Cupid'

29 January 2023- Cupid!

Today's prompt was 'celery', and Nelson sketched a few stalks as well.

I need my Friday faction for world23. Something to do with celery, celerity or alacrity, which reminds me of the Cheerful Charlies from 'Involuntary Man's Laughter'. A conspiracy for Good, or at least a business/charity (a charity is still a business, still needs to keep the lights on) dedicated to take care of people but especially on hope and laughter. The M'you'ch has a sideline in that, the 3F, Friendly Freida's Fellowship.

I should start working on a cupid animation for St. Valentine's Day next month. Also, can we please have a happy little solarpunk/ribopunk game where we all get off this rock while turning it into a garden of Eden? No? Alright, I guess I'll have to do it myself...

Okay. Specifications for a solarpunk game of ribopunk hijinks. Humans are not angels, but we're not demons, either. We can do this.

Today's prompt is 'building', and I thought of the hotel continental from John Wick.

Thursday's NPC is the Duchess of Whimsy, of course... Not sure how I can make this about the Hotel Continental, or the Beaver Building. Probably has nothing to do with today's prompt then.

Back to the Duchess, actually, two days later... The Duchess is the Aunt of the current King and the sister of the previous King and she owns Whimsy Island because the designated heir, or the spare when the king has no descendants; the previous king was the King's bachelor uncle who refused to even go through the motions, wink-wink, and he had a younger sister who ran off, got married to some foreigner and finally came home with a son, whereas his maiden aunt ran off to join the Navy... I'm full of it, aren't I? 8-P

Today's prompt was 'ace of spades'. Nelson has been drawing a quick sketch every morning when I send him the prompt and sometimes he beats me to it...
Wednesdays are for customs in world23, I think... something fun and interesting about the local culture. I have rwo to pick from, or... six? Whimsy Island, Odd Castle, Port Whimsy, Fort Holdfast, the village of Overlook and the monastery of St. Vennifer. Go with one for Whimsy Island, where people have long meaningful conversations with flightless geese the size of ponies, and Mt. Snaggletooth, where the mountain is called 'grandfather' and is the local benevolent spirit.

I didn't get far enough along to try to turn these fractal triangles into any sort of acceptable world map tonight.

Next morning, today's prompt is 'mountain', and we're back to settlements in world23.

What does this have to do with a mountain? There's a solitary mountain among the hills, all that's left of a great old range, along the coast between the capital and river port, Dunroody, and Land's End. The settlement is on the approach, from the south, to the pass around to the southwest, facing the ocean. There is a fort, and above that, up the mountain, is a monastery. Mount Snaggletooth, the village of Overlook, fort Holdfast, and the Monastery of St. Vennifer, that's a three-fer.
