Another bit of boilerplate

Some boilerplate code

This morning's prompt was 'dragon of the west', continuing on yesterday's Iroh sketch...

Thursday's world23 is an NPC, a person of interest in and around Skunk Water and The Stinking Sea! I didn't actually create a Tuesday settlement...

I need a better mnemonic, so how about Sunday's Settlement, Monday's "Monsters" and Meteorology, Tuesday's Two more settlements, Wednesday's What's Interesting, Thursday's Thinkers or Thugs, Friday's Factions and Saturday's Secrets? So I'm actually waaay behind! Two settlements for this past Tuesday, Stink's End and Lumber Town in the Spider's Forest North West of Stink's End and The Stinking Sea. So we have a forest full of giant spiders? Who have cut a deal with humans to cut wood? 8-P

Intelligent social spiders with a cannibalistic Spider Queen who lays all the eggs and eats her competitors and mates. The spiders are dying because there's been inbreeding, of course. The Queen may contract with a caravan to secure her a steady supply of males from the far southern forests.

I have a star...

21 February 2023- Grid of stars, Clickable Divs! Based on this wonderful Youtuber!

Colored boxes for stars form dark red, to red, orange, yellow, white and lightblue. I want to add a dead stupid random number generation scheme based on a hard-coded seed, or one entered by the user and also position. Each coordinate has a horizontal and vertical component on this 2D map, which gives me a number. I get the pseudo random # by multiplying the seed times the 'galactic' coordinates, and take the square root and the remainder after the decimal poinr.
/> Whew!
Then when the user clicks on a star, we shift the map by adding or subtracting to the 'galactic' coords, do some math and draw new star map. I will need to delete all the existing clickable star divs or it will get very messy and confusing! 8-P

Coordinates Here!

The page needs a number from which to generate some pseudo-random numbers.

This morning's prompt was 'uncle iroh'. I think I did a pretty good job with the dragon of the west, the liberator of ba sing se...

Wednesday's world23 is something interesting about the locals. A less charitable name for the sleeping sea is of course the stinking sea, to go with Skunk Water. The people of the swamp are famously stink-deaf and blind, but if you can afford it the caravan folk and the rich use perfume. The locals insist that they're the ones who stink!

The next thing I want to get done with the sector map is to draw the selected star system, the local sun and any worlds. I think I'll just splat them out and try animating them if I get that far tonight.

This morning's prompt was 'peregrine falcon'. This bird doesn't take any BS...

Tuesday's world23 is about settlements again, something on the far side of the sleeping sea.
