Figure out the vertices of the quads. Find the quads with any vertices within the world radius and draw those as pixels within my canvas with rectangles one pixel wide and tall. These are placeholders in my canvas. Each quad has four vertices with x and y coordinates within or on the radius and some z coordinate at zero or some distance above or below zero.

Pixels! Draw all the quads with any vertices within the radius of the world map. Any quad vertex outside the radius needs to be normalized to the radius, with a z coordinate of zero. All vertices within the radius get moved above or below a z coordinate of zero. I need to draw two hemispheres, one above and one below..

Rows of quads from pole to pole. Going with Barnes again, I want some minimum area for each colony site. I will get the areas of each row by finding the area of the spherical caps down to the bottom of each row.
