Using my oracle to ask yes or no questions about a setting.

Do I want a large campaign? Yes, 0<25

That was pretty clear.

More than one galaxy? Yes, 4<94

Oh dear.

More than the local group with the Milky Way, Andromeda , et al? No, 76>49

So the local group.

Center on MW? Yes, 33<55

Center on Earth that is/Was? No, 8>5

But nearby? Yes, 54<99

This is a large setting, covering the local group of galaxies but centered in the Milky Way, near Earth that is/was. This is a huge territory and begs further questions, such as how thin and are there aliens?
Today's prompt was 'wedding cake'. I got carried away with the floral decorations, probably green shrubbery in RL.

Oracle Again!

17 October 2022- Oracle

Input a question. I set this up to make a list of questions and answers which the user can copy and paste into their notes!

1 November 2022- Yet Another World Map.

Making yet another map out of triangles...

Today's prompt was 'garden salad'.

I didn't think about nanowrimo all day...
I am happy with the progress which I finally made with yet another pointy oval world map. sinusoidal, even. I googled the right spelling and found that a sinusoidal projection is a pseudo-cylindrical equal area map with the least distortion along the equator and the prime meridian. The edges are hella distorted, which is why a peeled orange version works a little better, with great complexity! 8-P
This basically means that I should be building up bits of landmass around the center of said landmass, and linking them up as necessary to get something like a peeled orange shaped world div. I can do this with at least a strip of ocean quad. A world map might be built up out of latitude strips. Each bit of latitude stretches from east to west, or west to east, actually, and a long land quad would be bracketed with some sea, then at some point before it reaches around the globe to touch the other end it may become some land again. I can try to model the rifting of a land blob to create deep incursions of sea into the interior, or have bits collide!
Well, naturally I didn't get any code written. I did find some more prompts for the perpetual prompt and move it out another week.

Alright, this is using the oracle to write a setting-
Are there any elves? Yes, 19<75
Is this a sea-based setting? No, 92>83
Are there any warrior women? Yes, 57<93

Much better... 8-P

20 November 2022- Strips of Land and Sea

Strips of land and sea! I want to set up a while loop to fill in the of the world map.

Today's prompt was 'pieces of eight'.

I can work on the plot for my Nanowrimo, I suppose.

Who are the characters and what is the story problem? They are humans and aliens and the problem is exploration and conflict, a struggle for resources. After a short and stupid war, they will attempt to build togetrher.
When and where? Thousands of years and light years in the future and far from Earth/Sol. A garden world.
How does it end and why does it end that way?
