This morning's prompt was 'zagnut bar', from 'beetlejuice'.

Secret Alien Invasion... I just had a scientist making sense of why we see UFO's what the Alien Space Bats are really up to. This is an elaborate scheme for 'domesticating' humans, leading us to eventually become like them, whatever they actually are. It's an idea. I don't want to believe it, but I'm not part of the process, pretty obviously.

I'm splatting out a planetary system from some star with some mass, luminosity, and an accretion disk of some inventory of dust and gas by derived partially random system size, random dust density per linear distance and gas density derived from dust but also partially random; the star size is based on what the proto-star kept from it's siblings in some stellar nursery by size and density, and also gas might have been lost, blasted away by local interstellar flux, etc.

Now that I have some idea what the accretion disk is like, we can start to drop some proto-planet kernels into the disk to sweep up up dust and then gas, if the kernel gets big enough and if the proto-star doesn't blast it all away. So we start making planets and keeping track of them, and removing dust and gas from the inventory, until we have no more... So, how does this work? We pick a random orbit within the disk and the width of this orbital band which the kernel sweeps. This is a simplification and approximation of my understanding of how this works.
