This morning's prompt is 'the hair', for which I was thinking about hair-based super powers...

A failed revolution in the 13 colonies would probably mean no French revolution, but troubles in France would lead to British meddling. No Napoleon, but likely some reform, with the monarchies limping along while the industrial revolution spreads more slowly without the Napoleonic wars. We get kingdoms in Mexico and South America when Spain loses its' grip on the local elites. Maybe even kingdoms of California and New Mexico, a Mormon republic of Deseret?
