Updated Barnard's World

7 October 2024- Barnard's Star b

A tidally locked planet at Barnard's Star. Some years ago I split the now disproven super earth into a double planet and did some animation. Now we have a tidally locked rockball...
The planet is smaller than Earth, is liable to be rather like Mercury, just with twice the gravity and with some ices which can be used for habitats. The three day year and tidal lock doesn't mean the sun doesn't slowly rise and set as the orbit is probably highly eccentric.
I chose to name the planet after E.E. Barnard's wife, Rhoda nee Calvert and the capitol is Calvert on the darkside under a constellation of mirrors at the L2 lagrange point.
