I need to work on the novel today, but back to my world peach (polygon to polyhedron); the oval-shaped outer polygon points and an inner point make that central polygon. One way to make that central polygon is to find a center for each triangle of my outer triangle fan and use that to make a list of points for the inner polygon, which is a triangle fan. The outer ring of quads or triangle pairs is a strip we can easily subdivide (as we already have). Interestingly, the only way to get that outer ring is to make the border or the outside polygon jump from the inner border to the outer border and then back again, leaving an invisible (or at least it should be) seam. I want to start by building but not rendering these triangles and getting their areas.
