Build A Body Shape

I finally got my Fourth of July flag waving and set up the game engine code, initStf(), dsplStf() and chngStf(). Actually, it's stuff we set up with, then we loop through (init() and loop()), drawing and displaying, getting input and changing things according to the input and internal logical stuff. In init() we create the initial settings, and then we loop() through the stuff we need to show and the stuff we need to change between each iteration. Now I should get going on my peeps again, but I want to set up a humanoid shape, which I model as two legs, two arms and a head for which I need five limb bases, which can be quads or triangle fans, the quads subdivided four, eight or even more ways.
