Today's prompt was 'elephant'. Looks like she's stepping up out of the river. The shadow at the left edge of the page really bothers me but I don't know enough about image processing to get rid of it!

World23 Sunday is back to settlements, based on 'elephant'... How about mastodons in the far north? Make them not mastodons at all? The walking 'mangrove' trees of the tundra? These are ginormous piney vines which drag their roots along and re-root themselves between steps. They can move in spurts and rest for days in between. The nomadic villagers make nice warm bowers under the canopy of each hollow hill or thicket. The walking thickets graze on carrion and plant matter for nutrients and soak up the sun in the summer. The peeps of the north get most everything which they need from the walking thicket, sugary water, 'milk', wood, fruits and roots and nuts, small game, even light and warmth.
