A face, a place and something good, bad or ugly... Peggy jumps out at me as does furry and critter. An exotic zoo?

Peggy is a genetically modified goat with ornamental wings. She's not able to fly except she keeps trying to 'swim' through the air in micro-gee in the tunnels of an abandoned and repurposed asteroid mine, the tunnels filled with habitable, pressurized volume, the walls shot through with fiber-optic glow patches. Her care-taker is Gloria, a young rock-hopper child whose family works for the scientists and their little mad science institute.
