This morning's prompt was 'bow and arrow ', after 'cupid' yesterday... Sigh.

Tuesday's world23 is another settlement, but I realized that I just decided on a new region, not a city or town, so I will need two, please.

First up. coming out of the smoking mountains and onto the steppe we have a caravan stop and a little fort where the pass opens up. West Gate isn't much of a fort, the merchants retreat into a maze of tunnels dug out for storage and and escape up the pass.

Then, out on the steppe, Ringwater, an ox bow lake a day's march into the steppe, on the Little Snake River. It joins the Greater Snake River about a week further on at Trade Town.
