I need to figure out what’s going on in my surfboard story, besides Peter Boyle making a surfboard for Hro’garh the Jorth’ar’hrot while quarreling with his business partner Julia who has a girlfriend named Michelle. Marley is minding the shop when he isn’t fleeing from two FBI agents, Mike Nakamura and Elizabeth Green. So, what’s really going on?

The instigating incident is the destruction of Hro’garh’s surfboard, in an encounter with a great white shark. I’m thinking that this was not as flippant as that, that somebody important to Hro’garh died and he’s made a decision. He’s going to stay behind when his ship moves on and that has upset a number of things. Among other things, he’s decided that being a resident alien is not what he wants, he wants to be a citizen, which is a constitutional crisis, maybe? 8-P

But who died? His wife, a random human, who?
